Ordering & using the store

Header Books is a bookstore for technical and professional reading in Nepal. These terms explain shopping through our website and should be read alongside the product details and information shown when you place an order.

Please check the title, edition, format, quantity and delivery details before submitting your order. Availability and price can change while you browse; review the final order summary before confirming. If you spot an error in an order, contact us as soon as possible.

Use accurate contact information and keep your sign-in details private. Do not use the store to submit fraudulent orders, interfere with other customers, or copy and distribute material that you do not have permission to use. Buying a printed book does not transfer its copyright.

Prices & payments

Prices are shown in Nepalese rupees unless another currency is explicitly stated. Review the amount payable, including delivery charges and any applicable adjustments, in the checkout summary.

The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout or in the payment guide. Check that your order and payment reference match before sending a transfer. A transfer receipt may need to be verified before the order is marked paid.

If a price, payment or availability issue affects an order, we will explain the issue and the next steps. Please contact us about a duplicate payment or an amount that does not match your order.

Delivery, returns & cancellations

Delivery availability, charges and estimates depend on the destination and the order. Keep your address and phone number accurate so the courier can reach you. For delivery guidance and the return process, see Shipping & returns.

If a book arrives damaged, is the wrong item, or differs from the edition you ordered, contact us with your order number and a description of the problem. Photos can help us understand what happened. Please contact us before arranging a return.

Customer cancellation is available only while an order is both unpaid and unfulfilled. If a payment is processing or under review, or the order has reached a courier, contact us so the team can check its status. A cancellation request does not itself confirm a refund.

Any return or refund request is reviewed against the order, the issue reported and the applicable policy. These terms do not remove consumer rights that apply under Nepalese law.

Your privacy

When you create an account, place an order or contact us, you may provide your name, email, phone number, addresses, order details and correspondence. If you submit proof of payment, that submission may contain transaction information. Only include details needed to identify your payment.

We use this information to manage your account, process and deliver orders, check payments, respond to requests and protect the store against misuse. Sign-in is separate from marketing: creating an account does not subscribe you to promotional emails.

Services that help operate the store may process the information needed for their role, such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment verification and courier delivery. Information may also be retained or disclosed where required to meet legal obligations or resolve an order dispute.

If Google sign-in is available and you choose it, Google handles your authentication and shares the basic profile information needed to create or access your bookstore account. Header Books does not receive your Google password.

Contact us to ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you. Some transaction records may need to remain available for accounting, legal obligations or unresolved orders; we will explain any limitation when responding to a request.

Cookies & saved preferences

The store uses browser storage and authentication identifiers to support features such as your bag, sign-in, wishlist and preferences. A browser-specific wishlist identifier helps save and synchronise the books associated with that browser. Clearing browser storage can remove access to locally saved information.

Where optional analytics is enabled, you can allow or decline it using the analytics controls. You can revisit that choice through Analytics preferences when the control is available. Optional storefront analytics uses PostHog to measure visits and shopping activity; the current integration disables screen recordings and does not send your name, email or delivery address.

You can also manage cookies and site storage through your browser. Blocking storage may affect features such as staying signed in or keeping your bag between visits.

We may update these policies as the store and its services change. The date at the top identifies this version. For a question about an earlier order, contact us with the order details so we can review the information that applied at the time.
